I quite like this, quite nice animation... just like the mix of hand drawn and 3d and how it moves seemlessy between the two so you don't notice any difference.

Some city films to check out.
Most of the films below are narratives, set in particular cities, using them as a background. They don’t necessarily work in the same way that a film about an architectural proposal would work. But is worth taking out the DVD’s and looking through, finding moments you like, getting a feel for the collage/montage/sequences of effects and images.

film bookshops
there are several good cinema bookshops in london. well worth checking out are
- the filmstore at the bfi on the southbank, very good selection of books on all aspects of film including storyboarding, techniques and sections on individual direcctors,+ good selection of dvd's including those by artists. www.filmstore.bfi.org.uk
- cinéphilia 17 sclater st at the top of brick lane, again a good selection including some more esoteric stuff. www.cinephilia. co.uk
- walter koenig books 80 charing cross road. also at the serpentine gallery in kensington gardens. some unusual stuff, imported from the main store in cologne. many artists books.

digital cities
Digital Cities exhibition, Building Centre
Digital Cities looks at how digital technology helps us understand and improve the planning and experience of our city. It looks at the impact on movement in cities: how communication and information technologies enhance a person´s experience of place; how people interpret cities with the use of technology; and how mapping influences the design and planning of cities. It also discusses some of the 'big brother' issues such as privacy and security.
The exhibition is presented through a number of research and commercial projects which use technology to provide planning and design and communication tool for the city. It contains live and interactive presentations in a number of digital media, showcasing work by Aedas, atmos, BT, Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, Cityware, Colin Buchanan, Farrells, GMJ, Hank Haeusler, Intelligent Space, Minimaforms, Ordnance Survey, Proboscis, SENSEable, Smartslab, Space Syntax, UCL, Zmapping
